ABOUT VEG

In 2014, VEG was born with a mission to help people and their pets when they need it most by challenging norms and fixing the ER experience. Since then, we’ve expanded rapidly, with hospitals nationwide open 24/7/365, and created an ER experience that focuses on what our pets and pet parents really need. We’ve done the same for our people (VEGgies), finding a way to say YES so they are empowered to achieve great things, grow in unexpected ways, and find a place where they truly belong.

We’re rethinking emergency care from every angle—from how we run our hospitals to how we support the people working inside them. That’s where our headquarters team comes in. Whether building technology to make our hospitals more efficient, recruiting and growing incredible VEGgies, or bringing our brand to life through marketing, our VQ (VEG Headquarters) team makes it all possible—ensuring our hospitals and people have everything they need to help pets and their families.

VEG is a 2025 and 2026 certified Great Place to Work®.

THE JOB

At VEG, we find a way to say YES—and this role is about bringing that mindset to how we train and support the next generation of VEG emergency doctors.

Our New ER Doctor (NERD) program is a critical part of how VEG recruits, develops, and builds the doctors who will care for people and their pets as we grow. As an Operations, Senior Associate on the New ER Doctor training team, you’ll help make world-class training happen by creating an experience that feels seamless, personal, and thoughtfully run from start to finish.

You’ll coordinate the details behind New ER Doctor education and hands-on training, support educators and learners on-site, and use feedback and data to continuously improve the program. You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of NERD operations outcomes, bring your judgment to the work, and help build the systems and processes that allow the program to scale without losing the individualized experience that makes the program special.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Program Operations: Own a share of NERD education and hands-on training from planning through execution, including schedules, syllabi, speaker confirmations, instructor agreements, participant communications, travel, and on-site logistics.
  • Learner and Educator Experience: Create a thoughtful, high-touch experience by anticipating needs, supporting educators and learners, troubleshooting issues in real time, and making complex programs feel seamless to the people participating in them.
  • Operational Ownership: Keep multiple stakeholders, timelines, and dependencies moving. Surface risks early, make clear asks, follow through, and bring open items to closure.
  • Content and Communications: Maintain and improve training materials, resources, and communications so they stay clear, accurate, and aligned with the evolving needs of the program.
  • Measurement and Insights: Own education and training surveys, analyze feedback and program signals, and share insights that help the team understand what is working and where the experience can improve.
  • Systems and Process Improvement: Improve workflows, documentation, tools, and automations that make NERD operations more efficient, consistent, and scalable as the program grows.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with NERD teammates, educators, Medical Directors, hospital teams, Talent, and Talent Development to make participation easier and ensure learners feel individually supported.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • 3+ years of experience independently owning complex programs, events, training experiences, or projects with multiple stakeholders, timelines, and moving pieces
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage day-to-day execution while keeping sight of the broader program experience
  • Clear, thoughtful communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with learners, educators, hospital leaders, and cross-functional partners
  • Comfort working with surveys, dashboards, and program data to identify trends, communicate insights, and improve how work gets done.
  • A collaborative, service-oriented mindset with the ability to manage recurring tasks while supporting multiple stakeholders
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach—you anticipate needs, solve problems, and take ownership without waiting for every next step to be defined.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time for on-site training, including extended stays in Las Vegas and occasional weekend coverage.
  • 4 days in office required; HQ located in White Plains, NY

WHO YOU ARE

  • Empathetic, instinctively taking a people-centric approach, whether supporting your colleagues or making an effort to understand different perspectives
  • Have a sense of humility; acknowledging mistakes, sharing credit with others, and lifting up your team’s’ accomplishments
  • Feel a strong sense of ownership over your work, taking responsibility for outcomes and staying committed to achieving long-term, impactful results
  • Curious by nature; you ask insightful questions and continuously seek out opportunities to learn and grow your skills and knowledge

HOW WE INVEST IN YOU

  • Competitive Compensation Including ($80,000 - $100,000) + bonus + benefits.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits that start on day one, and access to free therapy or counseling
  • Paid parental leave, up to 12 weeks at 100% of regular salary, and offering inclusive fertility and family-building care for all types of families
  • Unlimited PTO to use for vacation or sick days—however you need it!
  • Generous employee referral program, so our awesome people can bring in more awesome people.
  • And the little (big) things, like casual office attire, ability to bring your fur baby to work, cool VEG swag, food in the fridge for when you’re hungry and free lunches twice a week!!
  • Company laptop and a monthly cell phone reimbursement
