Job Description

Brookfield is seeking a Senior Associate, Investments who will focus primarily on asset-level, portfolio and corporate-level office acquisitions and dispositions in the US, on behalf of Brookfield’s real estate funds. 

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing junior resources in the production of complex financial analysis.
  • Writing investment committee memorandum and presenting investment recommendations.
  • Leading due diligence processes in partnership with senior team members.
  • Generating investment ideas that align with Brookfield’s various funds and strategies.
  • Supporting capital allocation decisions across the office platforms, ensuring alignment with broader strategic and financial objectives.
  • Conducting detailed and thorough market research reports, driving, and supporting investment rationale.
  • Drafting of term sheets, letters of intent, offer letters, and review of deal documents.
  • Collaborating with Brookfield’s investment management and asset management teams to drive value and strategy in its owned portfolio.

Key Requirements:

  • Top academic credentials and a Bachelor’s and / or Master’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, investment sales, real estate lending or investment banking (office experience would be appreciated but not required).
  • Superior analytical, quantitative, and technical skills, as well as proficiency in financial modelling.
  • Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
  • Proficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Experience using Argus Enterprise (not required, but helpful).
  • Strong personality and the maturity to interact with high-level stakeholders at Brookfield, advisors and within portfolio companies with limited supervision.
  • Proactive and intellectually curious approach to investments.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional work ethic, humble confidence, and desire to grow.

Starting Salary: $250k

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.

Skills Required
