Your role at a glance

"The Senior Associate Financial Analyst is a developing subject matter expert, responsible for assisting with the gathering and analysis of financial data to facilitate decision-making.
This role may provide guidance to business stakeholders on less complex financial matters, but typically works under the guidance of a more experienced member of the team.
This role works towards gaining practical experience in finance, specifically analyzing past company performance against set metrics and cost management."

What we are looking for

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Extract data from financial reports to conduct financial and statistical analysis and identify financial discrepancies and recommend appropriate solutions. Assist with the monitoring and controlling of expenditure by approving or denying requisitions based on whether the items are within budget. Prepare assigned financial reports based on the analysis results. Conduct presentations related to findings and provide recommendations to the relevant internal stakeholders. Research and analyse costs of projects, departments, and future ventures to provide information and insights about expenses and determine profitability margins. Assist with budget and expense analysis and report on variances ensuring that the projected budget is met and assisting with cost reduction initiatives. Reconcile and review monthly account analysis for balance sheet accounts. Assist with the analysis of budget and forecast variances and assist by recommendations to correct or improve company performance. Support with the input into the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Perform analysis on areas of risk or opportunity within the business and that the financial levers are understood and communicated to the business together with clear recommendations. Assist with the review of business initiatives to ensure that they meet the required profitability expectations. Identify cost management opportunities (processes or expenses) for ensuring improved profitability and sustainable returns for the business. Knowledge and some prior exposure to international entities, foreign currency, and inter-company transactions Academic Qualifications and Certifications: General Qualification in Finance / Commerce Required Experience: Moderate level experience in a similar position in a related environment Moderate level experience with accounting software Moderate level experience within finance in a company with international operations
