About This Role
As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will play an important role in helping Morningstar Wealth deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients and business partners.
You'll join the Wealth Quality Assurance team, which works across operational areas of the business to assess quality, identify opportunities for improvement, and support initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and improve client experience.
This role goes beyond traditional quality checking. You'll use data, analytics, and emerging technologies to uncover trends, identify root causes, and provide insights that help teams improve the way they work. You'll work closely with teams that support investment operations, platform administration, onboarding, reporting, and other operational functions that help Morningstar Wealth deliver outstanding outcomes for advisers and investors.
Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a desire to learn. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a modern Quality Assurance function that combines quality reviews, process improvement, data analysis, and AI-enabled capabilities, while building valuable skills in operational excellence, analytics, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Conduct quality reviews and audits across operational processes to ensure adherence to established standards and procedures.
- Analyze quality results and identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the development and maintenance of quality assurance frameworks, scorecards, reporting, and controls.
- Partner with operational teams to understand the root causes of quality issues and help identify practical solutions.
- Assist in the creation of dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that provide meaningful business insights.
- Leverage data analysis tools and emerging technologies, including AI, to improve quality monitoring and reporting.
- Document findings and communicate observations clearly to stakeholders.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives designed to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and client outcomes.
- Support regulatory and compliance monitoring activities where required.
- Build knowledge of Morningstar Wealth products, services, and operational processes while developing expertise in quality assurance and process improvement.

Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor's degree in any discipline, with an interest in quality assurance, operations, business analysis, finance, or process improvement.
- Early in your professional career, typically with 0-3 years of experience in quality assurance, operations, business analysis, reporting, process improvement, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify patterns and draw meaningful conclusions from data.
- Comfortable working with data and using analytical thinking to investigate issues and support decision-making.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and other reporting or data analysis tools is advantageous.
- Interest in quality assurance, operational excellence, continuous improvement, or business analysis.
- Exposure to data visualization tools, automation, AI technologies, or quality management practices is a plus, but not required.
