Pharmacy1st Health is building the clinical infrastructure for rural America by transforming independent pharmacies into integrated care delivery hubs. Our model combines primary care, pharmacy services, and chronic disease management under one roof, creating a new, lower-cost site of care for underserved communities.
We operate across multiple states and are rapidly expanding a network of rural clinics co-located with pharmacies. Our goal is to deliver scalable, high-quality care while improving access, outcomes, and cost efficiency.
Role OverviewThe Senior Associate, Finance will work directly with the CEO on financial strategy, capital formation, and analytical decision-making.
This is a high-impact role for someone with an investment banking or buy-side background who is strong in financial modelling and comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment. You will be responsible for building and owning the financial models that underpin the company’s growth, while supporting equity and debt fundraising efforts.
This is not a back-office role. You will be deeply embedded in how the business is built and financed.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Modelling and AnalysisBuild and maintain detailed financial models, including:
Company-level operating model
Site-level unit economics (clinic + pharmacy)
New market and service line expansion models
Analyse key drivers of revenue, margin, and cash flow
Support scenario analysis for growth, capital allocation, and strategic decisions
Support the CEO in fundraising efforts with:
Venture and growth equity investors
Debt providers (banks, credit funds, venture debt)
Build and maintain investor materials, including:
Investor decks
Financial projections and data rooms
Manage diligence processes and respond to investor requests
Track and analyse market comps and financing benchmarks
Evaluate new market entry, acquisitions, and partnerships
Support structuring of transactions, including pharmacy acquisitions and clinic buildouts
Analyse reimbursement dynamics and their impact on financial performance
Help define and track key company metrics (run-rate revenue, contribution margin, cash flow)
Build dashboards to track:
Revenue and growth by site
Script volume and mix
Clinic utilization and contribution margin
Support monthly and quarterly reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Identify performance gaps and provide actionable insights
Work closely with:
Operations on site-level performance
Clinical leadership on service line economics
Leadership team on strategic initiatives
Translate complex financial insights into clear recommendations
2–5 years of experience in:
Investment banking, or
Private equity, growth equity, or credit investing
Advanced financial modelling skills (3-statement models, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis)
Strong understanding of capital structures and financing strategies
High attention to detail and analytical rigour
Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment
Experience in healthcare or healthcare services
Experience evaluating multi-site businesses or roll-up strategies
Familiarity with debt financing structures (term loans, asset-based lending, venture debt)
Exposure to companies such as UnitedHealth Group, HCA Healthcare, or similar healthcare platforms
Skills Required
