As a Senior Associate Cloud Technical Architect at NTT DATA, you will play a crucial role in designing and occasionally implementing innovative cloud-based solutions that meet our clients' business and technical needs. Working closely with our sales teams, you will provide your expertise in cloud computing technologies to ensure the effective design, deployment, and operation of our systems.
Your day will involve collaborating with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translating them into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions. You will be seen as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring that our solutions meet the client's objectives. Assessing existing systems and developing strategies for migrating on-premises applications and infrastructure to the cloud will be a key part of your role.
You will design cloud-based systems that prioritize high availability, scalability, performance, and reliability. Your role extends to defining and implementing security best practices and compliance standards, as well as developing and maintaining cloud governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. A significant part of your day will also involve providing support to development teams to ensure adherence to these standards.
Additionally, you will be involved in pre-sales activities, helping analyse client requirements in conjunction with their current capabilities. You will support the creation of technical design documents and manage client proof of concept (POC) initiatives. As a subject matter expert on cloud technologies and architectures, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to align our technical solutions with business objectives.
To thrive in this role, you need to have:
- Comprehensive knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
- Broad knowledge of cloud architecture patterns like microservices, serverless computing, containers, and hybrid cloud deployments.
- Proficiency in cloud infrastructure technologies such as virtual machines, storage solutions, networking, and load balancing.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles, including IAM (Identity and Access Management), encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and frameworks like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure resource Manager.
- Understanding of cloud networking concepts and hybrid connectivity options.
- Moderate experience in Cloud Technical Architect roles, designing and deploying cloud-based architectures with a foundational grasp of devOps principles, automation, and orchestration tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for safeguarding DATA integrity and security.
- Strong client engagement skills with a knack for technical consulting.
- A bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
