Role Overview
The Foundational Business Change Management team supports transformation initiatives that enhance New York Life's ability to serve its 12,000+ agents and advisors. The Senior Associate, Change Management plays a key supporting role in executing the people-side activities that enable successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working.
This role works within New York Life's Foundational Business, partnering closely with change leads, initiative owners, Agency Communications, and Training teams. The Associate assists in implementing structured change activities, tracking progress, and maintaining coordination across stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of business transformation efforts.
What You'll Do
Change Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of structured change management plans, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption activities.
- Assist in conducting change impact and readiness assessments, helping translate findings into actionable next steps.
- Draft and coordinate project communications, working with Agency Communications and Training teams to shape clear and effective messaging.
- Help maintain project documentation, including change plans, stakeholder maps, communication calendars, and meeting materials.
- Track change risks, field feedback, and emerging issues; escalating to change leads as needed to ensure timely resolution.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating feedback loops such as workshops, stakeholder interviews, listening sessions, and engagement forums.
- Update portions of the FB Change Management Roadmap under direction of initiative leads to ensure alignment with priorities and timelines.
Strategic & Operational Contributions
- Coordinate meetings, timelines, and deliverables across cross-functional partners to keep change management workstreams on track.
- Collect, organize, and analyze adoption and readiness data to support reporting and performance insights.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing change management processes, templates, and tools.
- Partner with mid- and senior-level change practitioners to build personal capability in change management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
What You'll Bring
- 1-3 years of experience supporting organizational change, project coordination, communications, or business operations-preferably in financial services or similarly complex environments.
- Bachelor's degree in organizational development, Communications, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prosci or other change management training/certifications a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with change management principles (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter), and proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfort with project management, Agile or collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheet, SharePoint, Teams).
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $79,000-$113,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
