The Senior Associate has a key role within the Loan Servicing team, responsible for the accurate administration and oversight of a complex portfolio of loan transactions. In addition the role supports the effective running of business‑as‑usual activities, provides guidance and oversight to junior team members, and partners with management on workflow control, process improvement, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of loan transactions, ensuring all scheduled and ad‑hoc agency activities are completed in accordance with facility documentation and KATS procedures
  • Maintain and monitor the KATS diary system to ensure all contractual events are actioned within required timeframes
  • Calculate and verify interest, fees, principal amounts, FX rates, and rate fixings
  • Prepare, review, and release notices to lenders, borrowers, and other deal parties using LoanIQ
  • Monitor receipt of interest, fees, and principal into client accounts
  • Liaise with BNP Paribas to obtain SWIFT confirmations and resolve funding or payment issues
  • Perform reconciliations of client accounts following payment activity
  • Handle lender and borrower queries and complaints, including complex or sensitive matters

Supervision, Oversight, and Escalation

  • Review and verify work completed by other team members for accuracy and completeness
  • Act as first‑line escalation point for operational queries and issue resolution
  • Provide daily guidance and technical support to junior colleagues
  • Support line management in controlling workflows to ensure timely completion of daily obligations
  • Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of policies and procedures

Loan Rollovers and Scheduled Activity

  • Manage loan rollovers and scheduled interest periods in accordance with facility documentation
  • Calculate interest, principal, and fee amounts due
  • Issue borrower demand notices and lender confirmations
  • Prepare payment files for lender distributions via Connexis
  • Coordinate rate fixing with borrowers and issue rate‑fixing notices
  • Notify BNP Paribas of upcoming activity and monitor funds movements
  • Diarise future rollovers and payment dates

Unscheduled Payments and Prepayments

  • Administer ad‑hoc and unscheduled repayments and prepayments of principal
  • Process borrower notices and calculate lender pro‑rata entitlements, accrued interest, fees, and breakage costs
  • Issue borrower and lender notices relating to repayments
  • Prepare and submit payment files via Connexis
  • Update LoanIQ and reconcile client accounts following payment release

Drawdowns

  • Coordinate with the Transaction Management / Client Services team when required for a drawdown
  • Review and verify borrower utilisation request including signatures
  • Monitor receipt of lender funds and obtain SWIFT confirmations
  • Liaise with BNP Paribas and lenders to resolve missing or delayed funds
  • Prepare borrower payment files and coordinate release of funds
  • Complete rate fixing, update LoanIQ, issue notices, and diarise future events

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support administration of non‑loan transactions where required
  • Assist with tax reporting obligations under transaction documentation
  • Contribute to operational projects and process enhancements
  • Play an active role in mentoring and developing the operations team
  • Respond promptly to queries from borrowers, lenders, counsel, sponsors, and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to take initiative and multitask. Excellent communication skills and professionalism
