As the Senior Ariba Procurement Specialist, you will serve as the team lead for purchasing activities within the Ariba Guided Buying and Buying & Invoicing (B&I) Procure-to-Pay solution. In this role you will…
Act as a primary Ariba subject matter expert, providing end-user support and training for Guided Buying and B&I processes.
Drive change management initiatives, fostering adoption through influence, persuasion, and action-oriented leadership.
Collaborate with the Ariba enablement team and Catalog Manager to recommend suppliers and manage Supplier integration.
Manage the Procurement Operations Desk (POD), ensuring timely approval and processing of purchase requisitions and orders.
Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, quotes, contracts, and blanket purchase orders (BPOs) using Ariba.
Monitor supplier order confirmations and audit against purchase orders for accuracy in delivery dates, quantities, and pricing.
Partner with reference labs, accounts payable, and operations stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement processes.
Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance Procure-to-Pay efficiency and compliance.
Write and maintain work instructions, processes, and procedures to standardize operations.
Generate and publish Ariba reports to support data-driven decision-making.
Manage supplier relationships, ensuring contractual commitments are met and optimal pricing achieved.
Troubleshoot delivery, pricing, and quality issues, implementing solutions and communicating resolutions to stakeholders.
Provide root cause analysis and execute corrective actions.
May lead and coach team members, coordinating daily activities and sharing expertise.
What you will need to succeed…
Ariba software experience (Guided Buying and B&I modules).
Strong change management skills.
Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
Project management experience with a track record of driving initiatives to completion.
Ability to write clear work instructions, processes, and procedures.
Collaborative and team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
Purchasing experience, including managing supplier information and purchase orders.
Familiarity with accounts payable processes.
Vendor and supplier relationship management experience.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and attention to detail.
Ability to meet IDEXX’s hybrid work requirement.
