Position Summary

Responsibilities

  • Software development: Performing software development activities: requirement capturing, analysis, specification, design, implementation, testing, documentation and deployment of software systems or upgrades of software systems belonging to the profile of the group, according to plans and specifications

  • Software maintenance: Performing software development maintenance: analyzing, reproducing, correcting and documenting reported software defects, creating, testing, documenting and delivering software corrections (patches) according to respective plans. Maintenance of software development tools and environment.

  • Support: Supporting other parts of the company: supporting sales, account management and project management with well established estimates on the development effort required by software changes (for internal or customer requests), the company’s services organization with providing expert advise and assistance (e.g. during system upgrades or production start-ups at customers’). Mentoring new employees and advising colleagues.

  • Quality: Strive to perform all assigned tasks with quality i.e. according to specifications and without defects.

  • Make suggestions for improvements and novelties.

  • Make effort estimates.

Tasks

  • Act as a Technical lead and Solutions expert

  • Build, lead and take ownership of all Platform related technical concepting, design, implementation

  • Ensure that we are true to the guidelines set in all aspects of engineering, testing and delivery

  • Ensure that team has appropriate product and tech specifications, directions, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that project remain on target to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrate leadership abilities to our customers with the deployment of software upgrades, enhancements and fixes that are coordinated based on release schedules

  • Lead evolving present software system applications and architecture as needed

  • Effective problem report management incl. resolution

  • Recommend changes in the software to make tests more efficiently

  • Participate in conducting interviews for new team members

  • Evolve team member’s skills via trainings etc

  • Preparing/making presentations for clients and introducing/teaching system functions to colleagues through internal training, if required

Bachelors degree in related field preferred
