Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable Magento (Adobe Commerce) solutions across B2C and/or B2B platforms.
- Architect robust, secure, and high-performing eCommerce systems, including storefront, checkout, catalog, and order management functionality.
- Provide hands-on development and oversight across Magento modules, extensions, APIs, and custom integrations.
- Guide teams through all phases of the SDLC, including architecture, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Lead integration efforts between Magento and enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, PIM (e.g., Informatica MDM P360), payment gateways, and third-party services.
- Design and implement REST/GraphQL APIs and event-driven architectures to support headless or composable commerce strategies.
- Optimize site performance, scalability, and security, including caching strategies (Varnish, Redis), indexing, and database optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, ensuring stability and adherence to best practices.
- Define and enforce Magento coding standards, architecture patterns, and development best practices.
- Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead and mentor development teams, assigning tasks and ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Oversee deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes in cloud environments (Adobe Commerce Cloud, Azure, or AWS).
- Analyze KPIs such as site performance, conversion rates, and system reliability to recommend improvements.
- Stay current with Magento/Adobe Commerce releases, ecosystem tools, and emerging eCommerce technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred
- 9 years of experience in a lead development role.
- 5+ years of experience in common programming and data language, for example, JAVA, Python, SQL, .NET, API, or Data Base, etc.
- 3 years preferred of leadership as a creative, competent team builder preferred.
- Must have a background with Informatica MDM solutions including P360 / C360 / S360 / R360.
- Strong working knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
- Ability to multi-task and reprioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Skills in programming and systems analysis.
- Solid analytical skills - able to solve problems & interpret instructions in any form.
- Project management expertise in planning and completing large and small projects.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
