About The Role:

We're building Delasport's Enterprise AI Platform - a secure platform that enables engineering and business teams to automate work with AI at scale.

As a Senior Applied AI Engineer, you'll design and build production-ready AI capabilities including LLM agents, RAG systems, secure integrations, automation pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and AI infrastructure.

You'll own projects end-to-end - from solution design through implementation, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Build and integrate AI-powered workflows, automation systems, and LLM-based agents for engineering, operations, support, and knowledge management.
• Design multi-agent workflows and securely connect AI agents to internal APIs, databases, monitoring platforms, ticketing tools, and CI/CD systems.
• Develop RAG solutions, knowledge pipelines, intelligent search, and documentation-driven workflows.
• Improve the quality and reliability of production AI systems through evaluation frameworks, observability, LLMOps best practices, and performance optimization.
• Contribute to standards for agent development, prompt design, workflow design, guardrails, and production readiness.
• Research emerging AI technologies, run proof-of-concepts, and turn promising ideas into scalable platform capabilities.

Core Engineering Expectations:

• Strong Python engineering skills with experience building clean, maintainable backend services, APIs, integrations, and automation solutions for production environments.
• Experience designing resilient integration flows, including authentication, authorization, error handling, retries, rate limiting, and observability.
• Strong testing practices, including unit, integration, regression, and evaluation testing, supported by CI/CD quality controls.
• Solid understanding of Git workflows, code reviews, release management, and production support.
• Sound engineering judgment and the ability to make decisive technical decisions around scalability, reliability, security, and cost.
• Ability to clearly document architecture decisions, integration contracts, operational runbooks, and evaluation outcomes.

Who You Are:

• Practical experience building AI-powered workflows, agents, automation solutions, or internal tools using LLMs and generative AI.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building maintainable production systems, APIs, and secure integrations.
• Experience delivering AI solutions for operations, support, knowledge management, engineering productivity, or workflow automation.
• Understanding of multi-agent systems, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and modern LLMOps practices, including evaluation, monitoring, and guardrails.
• Solid understanding of AI system trade-offs, including latency, scalability, reliability, model selection, and cost optimization.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud platforms; GCP is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Curious, collaborative, and confident tackling new challenges.

Nice To Have:

• Familiarity with MLOps platforms and workflows such as MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, SageMaker, or similar technologies.
• Experience in Sportsbook, iGaming, fintech, or other high-scale platform environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes-native AI automation frameworks or internal developer platform automation.
• Experience with local models, self-hosted inference, edge AI, or hybrid model strategies.
• Exposure to model benchmarking, red-teaming, AI safety testing, or governance practices.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for a senior engineer who enjoys building practical AI systems that solve real engineering and business challenges.

You may come from Applied AI, Backend Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Data Engineering, or Automation Engineering backgrounds. What matters most is strong engineering judgment, hands-on delivery experience, and the ability to build reliable AI-powered solutions.
