About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Specialty Systems Operations Engineer to join the Commercial Mortgage Servicing (CMS) Group within Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT). This is a critical position within CCIBT Platform Management. It supports setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Commercial Mortgage Servicing systems. This role will provide support to internal and external applications, provide day-to-day support to the business users, monitor systems, perform technical refresh activities, application migration, batch monitoring and BCP activities.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure, moderately complex application upgrades and vulnerability remediation efforts, within the Systems Operations functional area

  • Contribute to increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks

  • Lead team to meet moderately complex technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards

  • Act independently as a liaison for the platform team in support of daily inquiries, problem and incident management, change management, project delivery, and escalations by following established guidebooks

  • Liaise with functional or operational managers to understand their current and future information needs and develop plans and schedules for integrating these needs into existing operations

  • Recommend solutions to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability by automating platform activities to lower human intervention time on related tasks

  • Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, mid-level managers, vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability and reliability

  • Provide training and mentoring to lower experienced team members on guidebook changes and lead team to meet technical deliverables, while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of systems engineering or technology architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of application production support experience

  • 4+ years of experience providing monitoring tools support for applications built on JAVA or .NET and cloud platforms.

  • 3+ years of experience with automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python

  • 3+ years of experience with application and infrastructure domains, including Web, Application, Database, and Server technologies

  • 3+ year of Autosys experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Linux & Windows experience

  • 4+ years of experience working with Relationship Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL

  • 3+ years of support experience with Cloud applications likes Microsoft Azure, Pivotal Cloud Foundry or Amazon Web Services cloud

  • 3 + years of experience implementing, supporting, or developing tools to integrate with ITRS Geneos and Grafana

  • 3+ years of advanced scripting experience using Unix Shell Scripting, or Windows PowerShell and PL-SQL

  • 2+ years of support experience with NDM and file transmission services

  • 1+ year of Splunk experience

  • Experience in financial services

  • Knowledge and understanding of technology production support: fast paced dynamic customer facing application which requires high availability.

  • Knowledge and understanding of technology support: high volume 24x7 mission critical systems

  • Ability to take an active role in the education, mentoring and training of less experienced team members.

  • Knowledge and understanding of PKI and SSL concepts

  • Experience supporting an enterprise-level environment

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including management

  • Strong team or technical leadership experience

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to participate in defining corporate implementation and integration strategies of new technologies

  • Ability to solve software and infrastructure issues
