Overview

Administers and manages both cloud and on-premises, including technical testing, troubleshooting, analysis, installation, configuration and maintenance.  Manages vendor relationships.  Provides technical guidance pertaining to the capabilities, limitations and requirements of applications.  Designs IT solutions using existing tools and technologies.  Assesses compatibility and integration of products and services proposed as standards, in order to ensure integration across interdependent technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Helps establish and implement cost effective, results based, and professionally managed programs and innovative initiatives for the IT applications area, under direct supervision.
  • Coordinates investigation of issues with applications systems operation, troubleshooting of errors, research on corrective approaches, and implementation of changes as needed to maintain systems in optimum working order. 
  • Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
  • Understands and applies the organization's mission, vision, and core values of improving health and promoting well-being in day-to-day interactions with team.
  • Assists in defining levels of system security, monitors access, coordinates setups and maintains the integrity of system operations.
  • Monitors operations, performs technical testing, troubleshooting, analysis, installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications.
  • Acts as technical SME resource, providing technical guidance as needed.
  • Identifies, researches, analyzes, and writes business requirements as needed.
  • Understanding of application technology and associated solutions and strategies related to business operations to help them achieve their business goals and objectives. 
  • Develop criteria for and participate in the evaluation of 3rd party vendors and software due diligence exercises and day-to-day management.
  • Promotes and coordinates standardization of development, maintenance, and support applications.
  • Demonstrate strong business, discipline and/or application knowledge and expertise. 
QualificationsEducation

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field Required

Experience

• 4-6 years within hospital or health information systems environment. Required

• 3-5 years of experience in support, maintenance and implementation of software applications. Required

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Basic awareness of problem solving and decision making skills.

• Basic awareness of digital literacy skills.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.

• Excellent diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field
  • 4–6 years of experience in a hospital or health information systems environment
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting, maintaining, and implementing software applications
  • Basic problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Basic digital literacy skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
