As part of our Application Management Team based in Baden, Switzerland, we are looking for a motivated Senior Application Manager who is looking forward to working in a dynamic team and be part of a successful and multicultural organization.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- The role requires a high level of technical expertise, problem management and investigative skills
- Responsible for the timely completion of multiple internal and external technical projects in accordance with specifications and budgeted scope
- Efficiently and accurately execute deployment and configuration activities for continued customer satisfaction/retention
- Problem solving of technical issues regarding operations
- Record and resolve internal defects and product related issues with the product teams
- Maintaining up-to-date documentation of procedures and system configuration
- Participation in maintenance windows in the evening/weekend
- Willingness for on-call duty
Essential Skills:
- Self-starter, high level of self-motivation and quick thinking
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Problem solving skills and strong technical background
- Encourage cross-team collaboration
- Simple as possible concepts, maintainable implementations, precise work
Required Technical Expertise:
- Must have
- Working knowledge of Linux (RHEL) or equivalent and knowledge of scripting
- Working knowledge of Ansible and git
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and ArgoCD; understanding of DevOps-concepts
- Nice to have / is a plus :
- Experience in Financial services, banks, fintech, SWIFT, ISO 20022 standards
- Working knowledge of databases such as Postgres or Oracle and Ingres
- Working knowledge of network and data transfer protocols such as SFTP and IBM MQ or ActiveMQ
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree - Economics/Finance or equivalent experience
- More than 5 years of experience in real-time processing or DevOps-teams, preferably in financial industry
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Team-oriented
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively and independently
