Senior SAP Application Expert in FICO, Financial Accounting & Reporting Area

As a SAP Application Expert you will be part of a collaborative team responsible for the end-to-end maintenance and development of our SAP solutions. Your responsibilities will include initiating improvements, designing solutions, creating functional requirements, performing testing, and configuring the system to meet business needs. 

You will work with a team of highly skilled professionals on the H&M Group’s advanced SAP platform, which supports operations worldwide. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to both global rollouts of our template solution, as well as long-term strategic maintenance with plenty of room for learning, development and participation in various initiatives. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve, support, maintain and configure solutions within the SAP Finance domain. This includes financial closing, reporting, organizational structures, legal compliance, legal reporting, asset accounting and intercompany reconciliation 
  • Enable business development by leveraging your system and business expertise to propose and design high-level improvements for future solutions
  • Participate in and provide guidance on rollout and project design to ensure alignment with the global template 
  • Analyze business requirements and identify efficient solutions  
  • Configure the system and/or write technical specifications for new functionality  
  • Test, support and maintain the Record to Report solution  
  • Mentore Team Members, coordinate with cross functional and technical teams 

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Product Team is a cross-functional team working with highly skilled professionals within Record to Report (R2R) product in Finance area. The R2R team consists of over 15 members, including Application Experts, Business Experts and Developers. 

The Record to Report product encompasses the following teams: Treasury and Cash Management, Financial Accounting & Reporting and Finance Automation. 

Our focus is to deliver solutions that drive compliance, quality and efficiency across all financial accounting and controlling processes. Together, we strive for world-class financial solutions that support global compliance and meet the evolving needs of our stakeholders and customers. 

WHO YOU ARE

  • 7+ years of experience in SAP Finance, focusing on design, concepts, principles and configurations for area such as financial closing, reporting, organizational structures, legal compliance, asset accounting and intercompany reconciliation in SAP ECC 
  • Participation in 2+ implementation projects
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legal reporting (e.g., Intrastat, SAF-T, VAT, e-invoicing, and other taxes) 
  • Solid experience in the SAP Finance and Controlling area, with strong knowledge of system design, concepts, principles and configuration in large organizations, having long-term solutions and optimization of SAP Finance in mind 
  • Confident in working independently as well as collaboratively
  • Self-driven, clear in your communication and value knowledge sharing.
  • Skilled at analyzing complex information and confident in explaining complex finance accounting and SAP-related topics to both team members and stakeholders across the H&M Group 
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with strong execution capabilities  
  • Proactive and accountable, with a continuous improvement mindset in fast-paced, evolving environments  
  • Experience with SAP transport and change management tools, such as STMS, Solution Manager, and Active Control 
  • Experience in developing WRICEF objects (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms) from a functional point of view 
  • Basic knowledge of Generative AI systems, including the most common LLMs, agents and tools
  • Fluent in English

Additional skills –

  • Experience with SAP DRC (Document and Reporting Compliance)
  • Knowledge of S4HANA 
  • Experience from Swift integrations  
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SAFe or similar frameworks)

This is a full-time position based in Bengaluru, India.
