What You’ll Do:
Maintain, modify and support sub-system or 3rd party components (programs, processes, configuration); all the while working within a larger system scope.
Complete unit testing of all work processes.
Troubleshoot and investigate. Develop solutions to problems involving causes that are not obvious. Respond to problems by diagnosing and correcting errors that do not have a known cause. Perform tasks necessary to ensure data integrity and system stability.
Write and maintain all documentation supporting primary area of responsibility.
Apply knowledge of current technologies and methodologies with business subject matter to develop technical solutions. Confer with stakeholders to gain an understanding of the situation requiring intervention. Translate process into practice through the current Information Technology toolsets.
Obtain advice from higher-level Information Technology associates when precedents are unclear.
Expand use of current information technologies, techniques and processes as they apply to Goodyear. Increase breadth and depth of technical knowledge by expanding knowledge base.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business Administration or a related discipline.
3 or more years of experience in Information Technology or a graduate of the Information Technology Development 2-Year Program with 1 year outside work experience
Basic knowledge of the current Office Product Suite
Understanding of Business Process Area supported - Continued growth in understanding company culture and business practices
The candidate should have a passion to learn manufacturing, tire concepts and current/future IT technology used for Goodyear manufacturing (PHP, PL/SQL, SQL, ActiveMq/Camel, C, Linux, C# .net, containers [docker/podman], version control [github, cvs], configuration as code [ansible], Shell Scripting, Build pipelines [Jenkins/github], Artifact Repository [Nexus])
