Project Manager
Location: São Paulo, Brazil
Overview
InterSystems is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale, complex technology projects for enterprise customers.
This role will primarily support healthcare interoperability and integration initiatives, while also managing technical projects across other industries. The ideal candidate combines strong project leadership skills with sufficient technical knowledge to effectively engage with architects, developers, infrastructure teams, business stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
The Project Manager will be responsible for project governance, scope, schedule, risk management, customer relationships, and overall project success throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of large and complex customer projects.
- Define and manage project scope, milestones, deliverables, schedules, and resource plans.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure alignment across customer and internal stakeholders.
- Establish effective project governance, reporting, decision-making, and escalation processes.
- Identify, manage, and communicate project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes.
- Monitor project financial performance, including forecasting, resource utilization, and effort control.
- Maintain clear communication with customer executives, business leaders, and technical teams.
- Support pre-sales and project planning activities as needed.
- Lead go-live readiness, transition to support, project closure, and lessons learned activities.
- Ensure compliance with project methodologies, quality standards, and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of project management experience delivering large-scale technology projects.
- Proven experience leading customer-facing projects with multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and delivery teams.
- Experience managing the full project lifecycle, from initiation through go-live and closure.
- Strong skills in project governance, planning, forecasting, risk management, and stakeholder management.
- Experience leading cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both executive and technical audiences.
- Solid understanding of software implementation, systems integration, and enterprise IT environments.
- Ability to discuss technical topics with architects, developers, infrastructure, and integration teams.
- Professional proficiency in English and Portuguese.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing healthcare IT, interoperability, or digital transformation projects.
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, IHE, APIs, and related integration technologies.
- Experience with Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), or healthcare integration platforms.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries.
- Spanish language skills.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or other related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- SAFe, Agile, Scrum, ITIL, or healthcare technology certifications are considered a plus.
