Job Purpose and Impact
- The Senior Application Developer- Application Owner and Infrastructure Partner for the Food North America business job builds, maintains, integrates and is responsible for business specific software applications and network infrastructure within the organization. With minimal supervision, this role performs advanced software road‑mapping, offers broad oversight of assigned applications, assist with application and IT infrastructure support to ensure stable operations and the successful deployment of approved solutions.
Key Accountabilities
- APPLICATION MANAGEMENT: Leads development of application strategies and develop application roadmaps to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE SUPPORT: Conducts complex technical support activities to deliver on business outcomes, including helping troubleshooting complex issues to ensure minimal downtime and fast resolution.
- STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Partners with multi-functional teams, key internal and external partners, understanding their needs and value drivers, and maintaining effective communication to ensure alignment and deliver outcomes.
- INCIDENT & REQUEST MANAGEMENT: Leads the assessment, prioritization, and execution of incoming requests to maximize value and ensure alignment with defined objectives.
- VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Handles positive relationships with software vendors and negotiates complex contracts.
- USER COMMUNICATION & SUPPORT: Fosters engagement with key internal and external partners, understanding their needs and value drivers, and maintaining effective communication to ensure alignment.
- INFRASTRUCTURE PARTNERSHIP: Partner with IT teams, and business stakeholders to help deliver IT Infrastructure initiatives and projects.
- CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Recommends options for improving processes and solutions in areas of responsibility, and implements the approved standards to improve efficiency, reliability, and financial value.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
- Experienced in network infrastructure technologies and support.
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
- Experienced in application management, developing roadmaps and support.
- Experienced in User Communication, Stakeholder and Vendor Management.
- Experienced in SAP or other ERP systems
- Experience in manufacturing operations environment

Short Description
Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
The expected salary for this position is $95,000 - $145,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first.
