The Role
Lead and manage the Ansan manufacturing site to meet production, quality, safety, and financial targets. Develop long-term plant strategy, optimize resources and material flow, drive continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma), maintain HSE and quality systems, coach leadership and employees, manage budgets/capital expenditures, and coordinate with global/regional sites and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective operations.

Key Activities :

  • Establish operating budgets; monitor the cost and effectiveness of production activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve volume, quality, and manufacturing standards.

  • Set, and monitor the performance of the plant against, standards and targets in areas such as manufacturing and administration efficiency, manufacturing cost control, legal compliance, and human resource management.

  • Develop and implement a long term strategy for plant and a variety of operating policies and procedures to ensure that the plant meets it current and future production targets and quality standards. 

  • Allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity. Research, evaluate, and recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance the plant’s production capabilities.

  • Lead, direct, evaluate, coach and develop a team of functional and operational managers or other professionals in ISC to ensure that the plant meets it's established targets and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Plan and lead site operations to consistently meet or exceed business objectives and Annual Operating Plan targets 

  • Develop and execute strategy for the site to contribute to the company growth with better productivity, quality, delivery, inventory and safety. 

  • Develop the strong organizational structure and coach leadership team and secure the bench strength

  • Maintain and promote the positive employee relation through communication / training employee and work council. 

  • Develop employee’s capability and encourage employee’s involvement and empowerment. to pursue the continuous improvement on every day. 

  • Manage the census resource effectively to synchronize the demands.   

  • Cooperate with other Turbo plants, region and global to leverage the Garrett strength. 

  • investigate for the customer satisfaction and develop/conduct the required objectives in ISC.   

  • Audit and estimate the HSEI metric and deploy the activities to secure the safe work environment in HSE&R. 

  • Secure the 4M to be ready on time to introduce/produce the new launched product.

  • Lead/coach supply chain and optimize whole the material flow from suppliers to customer so as to reduce the in/out-bound cost and Inventory.

  • Lead/coach supply base to develop & keep the strong suppliers and get the materials stably satisfying in Quality, Cost and Delivery. 

  • Lead/coach maintenance to maximize the utilization of the facilities with better MTBF, MTTR  

  • Secure the production capacity and capability on time not to miss any delivery to customers..

  • Develop the good production system with low cost and improve OEE. 

  • Secure the quality management system and keep the best quality and improve more in customer quality and field warranty.

  • Secure the IT infra supports to supply the productive working environments in site.

  • establish and execute the budget of capital and expense of plant to prioritize the spending and optimize the resources. 

  • Manage the cost effectively, improve the productivity and reduce the conversion cost to contribute to the FCF and margin..

  • Deploy the GEM with 6 Sigma/ Lean philosophy and make it culture in whole area in plant

Qualifications :

  • Supervisory experience 

  • Proven leadership skills as a team player/builder and a driver of value-added results 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to influence others and interact effectively with all levels of the organization 

  • In-depth Knowledge of whole ISC(Integrated Supply Chain) which works from suppliers to customers.

  • In-depth knowledge of project planning and program management.   

  • deep understanding of financial analysis data for cost management    

  • Experience in use of Six Sigma tools, with Lean, Black belt or Green belt certification preferred 

  • Proven track record of success in implementing HS&E programs and business initiatives 

  • Strong Customer focus with deep understanding about internal and external customer’s need. 

  • Ability to energize and develop all levels of the organization

  • A Global mindset 

  • Strong strategic management skills with the ability to lead and develop both hourly and salaried employees
