Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Angular Front-End Developer to join the Customer Manager development team and take ownership of the front-end development and technical delivery of a critical enterprise application.
Customer Manager is a strategic application supporting customer onboarding and servicing across multiple countries and channels. The application integrates with multiple systems and services and is used by various onboarding channels across the organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, maintaining and supporting the Angular front end, while working closely with Solution Analysts, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, Back-End Developers, QA and other technology teams.
This is an opportunity for a strong developer to become a key technical resource within an established enterprise application and contribute to its continued modernisation, performance and growth.

Job Description

Front-End Development

  • Design, develop and maintain high-quality Angular applications.
  • Develop reusable, scalable and maintainable front-end components.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Integrate Angular applications with RESTful APIs and back-end services.
  • Ensure applications are responsive, performant and user-friendly.
  • Follow established development standards, patterns and architectural principles.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure development quality standards are maintained.

Application Ownership & Support

  • Develop a strong understanding of the Customer Manager application and its integrations.
  • Investigate and resolve production incidents and defects.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Assist with application performance optimisation.
  • Participate in technical investigations and impact assessments.
  • Support releases and deployments through the appropriate technology processes.
  • Contribute to the ongoing modernisation and improvement of the application.

Technical Collaboration

  • Work closely with architects and back-end developers to design effective end-to-end solutions.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Solution Analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Work with QA teams to ensure solutions are adequately tested.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including refinement, planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
  • Provide technical input into solution design and estimation.
  • Mentor less experienced developers where appropriate.
Technical Requirements

Essential

  • Strong commercial experience with Angular.
  • Strong TypeScript knowledge.
  • Excellent JavaScript fundamentals.
  • Strong HTML5 and CSS skills.
  • Experience with RxJS and reactive programming.
  • Experience consuming and integrating with REST APIs.
  • Experience with Angular component architecture and reusable components.
  • Experience with Git/source control.
  • Experience with automated testing and unit testing.
  • Understanding of CI/CD and modern software development practices.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing enterprise-scale applications.

Advantageous

  • NgRx or other state-management frameworks.
  • Angular Material or equivalent component libraries.
  • Experience with microservices and distributed architectures.
  • Experience with authentication and authorisation mechanisms.
  • Experience with application performance optimisation.
  • Experience with cloud technologies.
  • Experience working within the financial-services or banking environment.
  • Experience with customer onboarding or customer servicing applications.
Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Significant recent experience developing Angular applications.
  • Experience working within a large enterprise technology environment.
  • Experience supporting production applications.
  • Experience working with multiple integration points and consuming applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and work within an existing codebase.
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary Agile delivery team.

Education

Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology
