Who You Are
As an Android Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to create revolutionary and user-friendly mobile solutions. Your expertise in Android development, combined with your affinity for creating top-notch applications, will contribute to our mission of delivering extraordinary mobile experiences to our users.
What You’ll Do

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to develop new features and enhance existing Android applications

Design and implement high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code for the Android platform

Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices

Debug and tackle application defects and performance issues

Optimize applications for maximum performance on a variety of Android devices

Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies in Android development and apply them to improve our products
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

3+ years of professional experience in Android application development

Proficient in Java and Kotlin programming languages

Deep knowledge of the Android platform, frameworks, and ecosystem

Experience with Android Studio, Gradle, and other relevant development tools

Solid knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices

Knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON parsing

Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills

Top-notch communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Experience with the latest trends, such as Compose, Coroutine, Flow

Understanding of lower level networking, like TCP/UDP, is a huge plus

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks

Published Android applications on the Google Play Store

Familiarity/experience with iOS a plus
