In this role, you will:
- Consult, review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors
- Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs
- Develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities for engineering enhancements
- Lead or participate on large cross group projects
- Mentor less experienced staff
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Leverage a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 6+ years of overall experience in Data
- Understanding of the US Home Lending product lifecycle, both Origination and Servicing
- Proficient with SQL
- Strong command using SAS for data gathering and analyses
- Experience in Regulatory Reporting and knowledge of submission cycles and compliance standards to be maintained.
- Detail oriented documentation skills.
- Consultative skills: have the ability to rationalize business need and solution design from people not knowing how to ask precisely for what they need.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and inter-personal skills.
- Ability to perform analysis, build hypothesis, draw conclusions and communicate clear, actionable recommendation to business leaders & partners.
- Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management.
- Prior experience working with risk, regulatory, or legal projects in Home Lending preferably.
- Good to have certifications in Data Management, Data Engineering tools.
- Strong understanding of business drivers and industry trends of lending products & home lending in specific.
- Proven ability to be successfully deliver robust solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to ensure analytic rigor for all work products
