YouGov is seeking a Senior Survey Science Analyst to join our fast-growing Scientific Research Group (SRG) — a team dedicated to solving complex research challenges across technology, politics, health, and more. What you Need to get an InterviewWe’re looking for someone who combines strong technical foundations in R and data processing with a deep curiosity for public opinion and social science research. You should feel comfortable navigating large datasets, optimizing survey methodologies, and communicating results to both technical and non-technical audiences. If you're energized by the idea of working in a collaborative, low-ego environment where innovation and rigor go hand-in-hand, we want to hear from you.
Must-haves
- Experience with statistical modeling of survey or other social science data
- Solid grasp of survey research methods (public opinion, market research)
- Strong programming fundamentals (writing functions, debugging, etc.)
- Proficiency in R, both within and beyond the tidyverse
- Self-motivated, solutions-oriented mindset
- Ability to navigate ambiguity inherent in research
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for mixed audiences
Nice to have
- Experience with R package development
- Familiarity with Linux, Git, SQL, or Python
- Background or interest in political science or political consulting
- Exposure to population datasets like the ACS or CPS
Compensation offered will be determined by multiple factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
