Job Description

 

Your role: 

The Individual will play a key role in manager due diligence, investment research, and portfolio construction, with a primary focus on credit strategies across both private and listed markets. They will work closely with senior investors to evaluate third-party managers, contribute to investment recommendations, and support Solutions client portfolios.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead due diligence on external managers, with a focus on private markets (private credit, private equity and real assets) and listed/leveraged credit strategies
  • Conduct end-to-end manager underwriting, including strategy assessment, team review, underwriting process, portfolio construction, risk analysis, track record evaluation and attribution analysis
  • Lead meetings with General Partners (GPs) and maintain ongoing manager relationships
  • Synthesize findings into investment recommendations, including investment committee materials, written due diligence reports, investment memos, client-facing content and presentations
  • Present investment views and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Support portfolio construction and management, including asset allocation inputs across public and private markets, manager selection within multi-asset portfolios, and portfolio monitoring and risk assessment
  • Monitor existing manager relationships, including performance evaluation, attribution, and identification of emerging risks or style drift.

What you can bring:

  • Proven experience in manager research and fund due diligence, private credit, leveraged finance, and/or broader credit investing. Multi-asset or portfolio construction experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to lead General Partners (GP) meetings and diligence processes independently, evaluate complex credit strategies across public and private markets, and translate analysis into clear, defensible investment recommendations
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills, including performance and risk analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFA preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including client interaction
  • Ability to operate in a collaborative, global team environment while maintaining ownership of key workstreams

 

The total compensation offered for this position, which includes salary and incentive pay, will vary based on skills, experience and location. The salary range for this position in New York is $165,000 to $175,000 annually.
