Job Description:

The Senior Analyst is the analytical engine of the sourcing function, responsible for the research, data preparation, and commercial analysis that underpins sourcing decisions across all indirect spend categories. Operating within a fast-paced, Private Equity backed, global technology environment, this role supports the Sourcing Lead in end-to-end sourcing projects by preparing vendor comparisons, benchmarking data, pricing models, and evaluation materials. The role requires the ability to work across international vendors, multi-currency pricing, and cross-border contracting.

Primary ResponsibilitiesSourcing & Commercial Analysis
  • Support end-to-end sourcing projects across all indirect spend categories including SaaS, software licensing, IT services, professional services, marketing, facilities, and corporate services
  • Co-ordinate RFx activities (RFI, RFP, RFQ) using the Coupa Sourcing Module or bespoke frameworks as directed by the Sourcing Lead; gather, organise, and validate vendor responses for completeness and comparability
  • Maintain evaluation workbooks, pricing models, and commercial comparison tools; conduct should-cost analysis and cost structure breakdowns to support negotiation strategy
  • Gather market benchmarking data and competitive pricing intelligence across domestic and international vendors; perform spend analysis identifying trends, outliers, and savings opportunities
  • Support category reviews by preparing spend category reports, supplier landscape summaries, vendor concentration analysis, and contract expiry profiles to inform the Sourcing Lead’s category planning
Contract Management & Tail Spend
  • Review vendor contracts (MSAs, SOWs, Order Forms, Amendments) and identify key commercial terms, deviations, and areas requiring the Sourcing Lead’s attention
  • Support commercial negotiations by preparing data packs, talking points, and scenario analyses; track contract renewal timelines and prepare renewal analysis packages
  • Support tail spend identification and categorisation by mining spend data across vendors, categories, and transaction frequency; prepare supplier consolidation analyses highlighting fragmented spend
  • Assist in converting unmanaged tail spend into managed categories; maintain tail spend tracking reports including coverage, consolidation progress, and savings delivery
Governance, Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Collect vendor performance scorecard data for the QBR programme; support savings tracking by logging confirmed savings and preparing status reports
  • Build and maintain sourcing dashboards for visibility into project pipeline, savings delivery, and sourcing activity; document sourcing processes and SOPs as the function matures
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather data and inputs for sourcing projects; support the Sourcing Lead and Sourcing Specialist in preparing materials for cross-functional engagement
  • Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned to support team objectives and function progression
Achievements / Goals — First 6 Months
  • Complete onboarding to insightsoftware’s sourcing tools, systems, and vendor landscape within the first 60 days
  • Independently prepare vendor comparison workbooks and evaluation materials for sourcing projects, requiring minimal revision from the Sourcing Lead
  • Complete a comprehensive tail spend analysis identifying the top consolidation and savings opportunities; deliver benchmarking and pricing analyses contributing to measurable cost savings on previously unmanaged spend
  • Prepare category review materials providing clear visibility of spend distribution, vendor concentration, and opportunity areas
  • Maintain up-to-date sourcing dashboards and savings tracker with complete, auditable data
  • Begin building working relationships with key internal stakeholders across Finance, Legal, HR, and Business Unit teams
Skills & Competencies
  • Spend and pricing analysis with strong financial and numerical acumen
  • Contract review fundamentals — ability to read and interpret MSAs, SOWs, and Order Forms and identify key commercial terms
  • Commercial negotiation at a supporting level; ability to prepare negotiation materials and participate in vendor discussions
  • RFx process knowledge using eProcurement platforms or manual processes; advanced Microsoft Excel including modelling, pivot tables, and lookups
  • Dashboard and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, or equivalent); market research and data synthesis capability
  • Preferred: exposure to eProcurement platforms (Coupa, Ariba, Zycus, or similar); experience in one or more indirect spend categories including SaaS, software licensing, IT services, professional services, or corporate services; international vendors and multi-currency pricing; experience in a PE-backed or high-growth technology environment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or procurement; experience across indirect spend categories with SaaS and software licensing experience highly desirable
  • Experience in a global technology company or shared services environment is an advantage; professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) preferred but not mandatory
