Company Description

Assent is the leading solution for supply chain sustainability tailored for the world’s top-tier, sustainability-driven manufacturers. Hidden risks riddle supply chains, many of which weren't built with sustainability in mind. That's where we step in. With insights from experts, Assent is the tool manufacturers trust for comprehensive sustainability.

We are proud to announce that Assent has crossed the US$100M ARR milestone, granting us Centaur Status. This accomplishment, reached just 8 years following our Series A, makes us the first and only Certified B Corporation in North America's SaaS sustainability industry to celebrate this milestone.

Our journey from $5 million to US$100M ARR in just eight years has been marked by significant growth and achievements. With our $350 million US funding led by Vista Equity Partners, we're poised for even greater expansion and are on the lookout for outstanding team members to join our mission.

Hybrid Work Model

At Assent, we proudly embrace a remote-first work model, valuing the flexibility and autonomy it provides our team. We also acknowledge the intangible benefits of occasional in-person workdays. For team members situated within 50 kms/31 miles of our five global offices in Ottawa, Eldoret, Penang, Columbus, and Amsterdam, you can expect to come into the office at least one day a week. Similarly, those near our co-working spaces in Nairobi and Toronto are encouraged to work onsite once a month.

This individual will lead efforts to streamline data processes, develop robust models and dashboards, and deliver actionable insights that shape strategic decisions across cross-functional teams. Additionally, the Senior Data Analyst will mentor junior analysts, foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and optimize our analytics infrastructure to support decision-making at the highest levels and enhance business performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead Data Initiatives: Spearhead the development of data models and reporting frameworks that are aligned with Assent’s strategic priorities, with an emphasis on scalability and precision in a B2B SaaS landscape.

  • Reporting & Visualization: Build and refine interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, translating raw data into clear, actionable insights that support cross-functional stakeholders in decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a strategic partner to teams across the organization, from sales and marketing to data engineering, ensuring data-driven approaches are embedded into key business operations.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Provide mentorship to junior analysts, helping them enhance their analytical skills while fostering a team environment that emphasizes learning, growth, and best practices in data handling.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Lead initiatives to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and governance of our data systems, driving a focus on consistency, scalability, and high-quality standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of emerging technologies and best practices in data analytics, proactively refining processes to support Assent’s evolving needs and future growth.

This is not an exhaustive list of duties. Responsibilities may be altered and/or added from time to time to meet business needs.

Qualifications

We strongly value your talent, energy and passion. It will also be valuable to Assent if the following describes you:

  • B2B SaaS Expertise: 5+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment, delivering insights that improve business outcomes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Appropriate proficiency in SQL, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes. Familiarity with Snowflake, DBT, Python and Tableau is essential to success in this role.
  • Analytical Thinker: A strategic mindset with the ability to interpret data trends, identify opportunities for business growth, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Clear Communicator: Proven ability to distill complex data and analysis into simple, easy-to-understand narratives tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Leadership Experience: A mentor, with experience guiding and developing junior team members and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-centric initiatives.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Detail-Oriented: A meticulous approach to data quality, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all reports and deliverables.

Reasonable Accommodations Statement: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the aforementioned duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Assent is an equal opportunity employer. What We Do

Assent is the leader in supply chain sustainability management solutions. With more than a decade of experience, Assent is specifically focused on complex manufacturers, a subset of manufacturers in the industrial equipment, electronics, medical device, aerospace/defense and automotive verticals whose products have a long design cycle and shelf life. More importantly, with thousands of parts making up a single product — and equally as many supplier partners across their global supply chain — complex manufacturers have extreme supply chain sustainability requirements.

The Assent solution blends the SaaS technology platform with managed services and its world-class Regulatory Team of subject matter experts who keep customers ahead of compliance and regulatory changes across the globe.

Assent’s customers use our solutions across product compliance, trade compliance and ESG to capture, track, report on and manage supply chain compliance and sustainability performance of their suppliers. Assent is on a mission to make the supply chains of complex manufacturers deeply and durably good by helping them see deeper into their supply chains, be smarter with powerful data, and grow better to seize market opportunities.
