Job Summary
Real-time Payments Platform Engineering & Operations Senior Analyst leads a team responsible for the comprehensive lifecycle management of Mastercard's mission-critical On-premise Real-time Payment technology environments (e.g., SPEI). This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, operational management, and people leadership to ensure optimal performance, security, availability, and efficiency of these complex payment platforms.
Key Responsibilities• Coordinates and manages the building and maintaining of Mastercard's Onprem Realtime Payment technology environments (SPEI), including associated software products• Resolves chronic complex problems, providing managerial operational support to maintain systems and platforms• Monitors performance to identify areas of concern and participates in the planning and implementation of updates to optimize performance• Assists with process improvement efforts to identify and test opportunities for automation and/or reduction in time to deployment• Assesses Mastercard's security to ensure effective safeguard processes are in place and operational platforms are running effectively for hosted production systems• Performs lifecycle management for supported hardware platforms, including technical refresh planning and capacity upgrades• Participates in the planning and implementation of system/platform updates to optimize performance, efficiency, and capacity• Performs holistic platform security posture which includes identifying risks, escalating potential concerns, and implementing both risk mitigation plans and control functions• Completes status reports, troubleshooting guides, and project plans to provide in-depth technical assistance to development programmers and customers• May perform financial planning, forecasting, and budget tracking to reduce total cost of ownership and allocate resources efficiently• Manages a team, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes, mentors and coaches top talent within own team
Required Skills & Experience• Database Administration & Connectivity: Solid experience managing and maintaining enterprise databases, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity across platforms. Ability to troubleshoot and optimize database performance in high-availability environments.• System Administration & Enterprise Monitoring: Proven expertise in administering complex systems and implementing enterprise-grade monitoring solutions to ensure uptime, performance, and proactive issue resolution.• IT Service Management & Infrastructure Implementation: Hands-on experience with ITSM frameworks and tools, supporting service delivery and incident management. Skilled in planning and executing infrastructure deployments, upgrades, and integrations.• Quality Assurance & System Integration: Familiarity with QA methodologies and tools to validate system reliability and performance. Experience integrating diverse systems and platforms to support seamless operations and data flow.• Technology Asset Management & Datacenter Facilities Oversight: Ability to manage technology assets throughout their lifecycle, including procurement, tracking, and disposal. Experience overseeing datacenter operations, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and efficiency standards.• Technical Documentation & Architecture Design: Strong technical writing skills to produce clear documentation, troubleshooting guides, and operational manuals. Experience contributing to architecture design for scalable, secure, and resilient network systems.• Data Security & Problem Solving: Deep understanding of data protection principles and risk mitigation strategies. Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues across infrastructure and network layers.• Soft Skills & Collaboration: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and mentor junior team members while driving continuous improvement.• Location & Language: You currently live in Mexico City and are available to attend the office three times per week. You are able to communicate in English at an advanced level.
