Overview
The Senior Analyst, Mastercard Value Quantification (MVQ) Program is a critical enabler in our enterprise-wide Value Quantification initiative. In this role, you will support and scale the MVQ program by ensuring consistent methodologies, robust value narratives, and meaningful impact tracking across our Core, Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNPF), and Services businesses. Rather than performing individual product value analyses, you will act as a governance lead and force-multiplier - guiding product and analytics teams as they quantify value, maintaining the integrity of our frameworks, and helping diverse teams leverage MVQ effectively. You will partner closely with the MVQ Program Director and Managers (Core and CNPF) to drive adoption and excellence in value quantification, and assist the VP in crafting a cohesive holistic value story for Mastercard. Additionally, you'll measure program success by tracking usage and outcomes, producing executive-ready insights that demonstrate how MVQ is impacting our go-to-market and customer success. This position offers a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally at the junction of data analysis, strategy, and storytelling, helping Mastercard and our customers realize and communicate the full value of our solutions.
Key Responsibilities• MVQ Methodology Governance & Support: Uphold MVQ standards and best practices across all value quantification activities. Provide hands-on guidance and quality assurance to product and analytics teams in Core and CNPF as they develop ROI models and client value propositions. Ensure a consistent approach (common assumptions, data sources, calculation methods) is used enterprise-wide, thereby maintaining a single source of truth for customer value metrics. If teams encounter challenges (e.g., data gaps, complex benefit calculations), step in as a subject-matter resource to help troubleshoot and refine the analysis. Create and update documentation, templates, and checklists that codify the MVQ methodology for easy reuse.• Cross-Functional Enablement & Collaboration: Act as a bridge between the MVQ program and business teams. Work day-to-day with the MVQ Managers for Core and CNPF to embed MVQ in their respective areas - for example, by coordinating value quantification onboarding for new products or markets, aligning on priorities for which use-cases to tackle next, and sharing insights between Core and CNPF to avoid silos. Partner with Sales, Account Management, Pricing, and Customer Success teams to ensure they understand and trust MVQ outputs. Assist in delivering training sessions, workshops, or tool demos to increase confidence and proficiency in using MVQ tools in the field. Provide one-on-one support or coaching to team members who are preparing to use MVQ data in client conversations, ensuring they can articulate the value story compellingly and accurately.• Enterprise Value Story Development: Collaborate with the MVQ Program Director and VP to develop and refine a unified Mastercard value narrative that spans all products and services. Contribute analytical findings and frontline insights to shape how we communicate our value to various audiences (e.g., how Core issuing and acceptance solutions, combined with newer payment flows and Services, drive an integrated ROI for customers). Help gather and synthesize input from different business units so that the enterprise value story is comprehensive and evidence-based. Draft or review content for executive presentations, customer-facing materials, and internal briefings where the Mastercard value story is featured, ensuring consistency of message and data integrity.• Impact Measurement & Executive Reporting: Track and communicate the impact of the MVQ program. Collect and analyze data on MVQ adoption and outcomes: for example, usage statistics of MVQ tools, number of value assessments conducted by teams, and qualitative feedback from users. Work with the MVQ team to develop simple metrics that indicate program health (such as percentage of target deals utilizing MVQ, or improvement in win rates when MVQ is applied). Prepare regular internal reports and dashboards for senior leadership that highlight key achievements, trends, and notable success stories (e.g., "MVQ influenced $X in deals this quarter" or "95% of priority products now have MVQ models in use"). Ensure these reports are accurate, insightful, and actionable - providing transparency into what's working and where additional focus is needed.
Skills & Qualifications• Analytical & Financial Acumen: Strong analytical skill set with experience in financial modeling, business case analysis, or data-driven strategy work. Comfortable reviewing and interpreting ROI models, cost-benefit analyses, and performance metrics. Proficiency with Excel is required; experience with analytics or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL) is a plus. Able to interrogate data and assumptions to ensure they are sound, and to simplify complex quantitative findings for discussion.• Domain Knowledge: 4+ years of experience in a relevant field such as strategy/operations, product analytics, consulting, financial analysis, or value engineering. Exposure to the payments industry or technology-driven B2B solutions is highly preferred, as it will help in understanding our product portfolio and client use-cases. Familiarity with concepts in pricing, sales enablement, or customer success is beneficial for contextualizing how value quantification supports those functions.• Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven ability to convey analytical concepts and results to non-technical audiences in a clear and persuasive manner. Experience in creating executive-ready presentations or reports is valuable. Confident collaborating with stakeholders at all levels - from working team members to senior executives - and adept at tailoring your message appropriately. Comfortable delivering training or mentoring colleagues on new tools or methodologies.• Project Coordination & Organizational Skills: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple parallel tasks and requests. Experience coordinating cross-functional projects or programs is a strong plus. Able to prioritize effectively, balancing urgent support needs with longer-term projects. Detail-oriented in execution, ensuring things don't fall through the cracks (e.g., consistently following up on open items, keeping documentation up to date).
