Senior Analyst - Insights

Overview: 

The Primer Team, led by its Director of Research, conducts industry- and company-specific research across multiple sectors, with the objective of conducting calls with topic experts to generate longer-term library content for our clients in the form of transcripts, surveys, and other formats

Basic requirements for this role are cited below. As the team grows and needs evolve, the Senior Analyst role will collaborate with the Director of Research regularly to determine what coverages, topic areas, and/or call content are required based on ongoing team needs and future growth.

This is a hybrid position which will work out of our Mumbai, India office at least two days per week, with the option to work remotely on other days. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Research Coverage: Monitor a coverage universe of public and private companies within one or more sectors/industries.
• Industry Analysis: Track key market and business drivers, including material news flows, earnings releases, investor presentations, competitive dynamics, regulatory changes, supply chain developments, and capital allocation strategies within your coverage areas.
• Content Development: Create/moderate/conduct teleconferences featuring experts from Guidepoint’s network summarized in high-quality, detailed transcripts and/or surveys.
• Content Editing: Ensure high-quality content creation and editing of all content, including teleconference transcripts and survey results and insights. Summarize, edit, and vet key discussion points across different content formats.
• Reporting: Collaborate with the Director of Research to drive the growth of Guidepoint’s content library, scaling research coverage across multiple industries and companies.
• Expert Vetting & Ownership: Take full ownership of teleconferences by carefully selecting and vetting experts to ensure their relevance and expertise align with the specific topics being discussed.
• Expert Recruitment: Collaborate with the research team to identify, recruit, and vet additional industry experts for Guidepoint’s Expert Network.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, to align research initiatives with business objectives and market demands.
• Team Development: Help build and mentor a team of junior analysts, guiding them in primary research, expert recruitment, teleconference execution, and content development.
• Compliance & Integrity: Uphold Guidepoint’s compliance policies by ensuring that expert profiles and all created content adhere to company protocols.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Finance or related area of study 
• 5-10 years of experience in investment research or related field that demonstrates an ability to conduct primary research across industries or companies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere with minimal supervision
• Strong focus on quality, attention to detail, and addressing client needs  
• A desire to constantly learn combined with a strong work ethic
