Position Details
- Job Title: Sr Analyst
- Function/Department: Actuarial
- Location: Bengaluru
- Employment Type: Full time
- Reports To: Team Lead
- Role Overview: The modelling senior analyst supports the development and migration of actuarial models, ensuring accurate calculations and timely project delivery for Chubb Life entities in Asia Pacific, in collaboration with regional and local teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Prophet migration project and manage its timeline and deliverables
- Design and develop coding to meet local and Chubb requirements (including real world, risk neutral, and US GAAP calculations)
- Prepare and review impact analysis between old and new models with thorough investigation and explanations
- Lead and manage the development of functional check spreadsheets to validate calculation functionalities in the new model
- Support local country teams on dry runs and UATs
- Manage and support model change work performed by local entities
- Support regional projects like US GAAP LDTI and IFRS17 to ensure the new model meets future requirements
- Support local projects such as ALS development for HK RBC purposes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Statistics.
- 8 - 10 exams from recognized actuarial institute and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of USGAAP (LDTI), Pricing and Experience studies.
- Proficiency in Prophet, or similar Actuarial software is highly desirable.
- Strong data analytics skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience with R or Python is must.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other office applications.
