Senior Analyst, Funding

A Better Opportunity

Better is looking for Analysts to join their team. You will work collaboratively across various functions and other Better teams.

Responsibilities Will Include

● The funding team is responsible for conducting pre-funding review a day prior for all the files scheduled to fund on the following day. This requires extensive analysis of various checkpoints related to credit portion, disclosure portion along with a meticulous review of the signed closing package. Approval is granted upon resolution of issues, if any.

● The funding team is responsible to follow the legal guidelines stipulated by the legal entities of the US like the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

● The funding team is responsible for raising escalations related to any of the checkpoints as part of the funding review process and have a proper and timely follow up with the various teams in the company and any of the concerned party company-wide in order to get the same resolved.

● The funding team is expected to make appropriate use of decision-making skills and professional judgement to prioritise which issues to pay attention at in order to ensure smooth and timely approval of any loan file to fund.

● The funding team is responsible to be vigilant about their E-mail correspondence with a plethora of third - party entities like the title companies, settlement agents, etc and at times the borrower (s) himself/herself in order to be able to receive required documentation, if any, vital for the loan file to have the approval to fund.

● Proficiency in Excel preferred

● Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems

● Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
