What Global Financial Shared Services contributes to Cardinal Health
The Global Financial Shared Services team is responsible for a broad range of finance-related activities that support the organization's financial operations and reporting processes. Key responsibilities include reconciling monthly customer transactions, supporting Accounting with revenue estimates, processing monthly salary reconciliations in accordance with contractual terms, and preparing and analyzing financial reports.

This role provides an opportunity to build financial and business acumen while partnering with Finance, Operations, Marketing, IT, and customer-facing teams to support key business initiatives, drive operational excellence, and deliver meaningful business insights.


Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with pharmacy operations and finance teams to resolve pricing, billing, and contract issues for pharmacies.
  • Partner with pharmacy leaders and Operations Directors to drive business solutions, sales initiatives, and communicate results.
  • Serve as a point of contact and key stakeholder for business solutions and process improvements.
  • Manage billing processes within the business.
  • Own internal control audits and partner with Finance, Accounting, and Operations teams to remediate identified issues.
  • Interpret contract language and analyze business intelligence and financial data to provide analytical support and recommendations.
  • Independently evaluate data and generate insights to support process improvements, profitability, contract compliance, and operational accuracy.
  • Assess customer needs and business challenges, identifying solutions to non-standard requests and sharing key learnings across the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by challenging existing processes, reducing non-value-added work through automation and self-service solutions, and implementing process and system enhancements.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
     
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related business environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial processes, systems, controls, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel), SAP, Access, and Alteryx preferred.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a finance environment and supporting customer service objectives preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret data, support customer service objectives, and respond to non-standard business requests preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
