Job Description
Your Team
This position is part of the Regional Shared Services Center where the team is focused on providing accounting and finance functions for global business lines and preparing financial reports.
Your Role
The Senior Analyst - Finance Global Business Services (GBS) performs accounting and financial reporting within the global compensation center of excellence.
You Will Be Responsible For:

Assisting in the complete and timely preparation of financial reports in accordance with GAAP, regulatory, and Invesco policies.

Preparing journal entries in accordance with GAAP principles, specifically journals related to payroll costs, benefits, and employee stock.

Maintaining proper Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) documentation on areas of responsibility in scope for SOX audits and ensures compliance with documented controls.

Preparing balance sheet account reconciliations.

Preparing variance analyses. Must be able to identify variance, determine cause of variance, and document findings.

Supporting work transitions to offshore shared service center, including documentation of accounting processes, training resources, providing post transition support as well as ongoing oversight of offshore responsibilities.

Supporting coordination of compensation related projects including but not limited to strategic initiatives and software implementations, which includes providing requirements, creating test scripts, performing system testing, identifying, and logging bugs, etc.

Performing special analysis and tasks as required by finance department managers.

Preparing supporting schedules for annual audit reports, answering questions, and working with auditors on the annual audit.

Assisting Manager in leading special projects, allocating workload among staff, and mentoring/training junior staff

Assisting junior staff with completion of critical assignments as necessary.
The Experience You Bring:
Minimum of 4 to 6 years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred. CPA candidacy required.
Solid understanding of accounting and financial principles and ability to apply these principles to corporate accounting.
Knowledge of SOX requirements.
Experience working in a shared service center supporting global operations is highly preferred.
Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with a variety of individuals.
Ability to handle confidential information is critical.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in reviewing financial data.
Ability to cooperate in a team environment is critical.
Experience with Excel required; Oracle Financials and ADP is a plus.
