Sales Business Controller - Sales Finance Specialist

Overview
We are currently looking for a Business Controller to be a part of the Northern Europe Financial Institution & Digital Partner functional team, reporting to the Vice President of Financial Institution & Digital Partners.
You will support the Account Managers (AM) of the Northern Europe Division by serving as the link between them, the Global Business Service Center (GBSC) of Mastercard, Business Partners and all other internal stakeholders
As a Business Controller you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of service by addressing customer concerns, verifying billing accuracy and changes between billing cycles (annual/quarterly), monitoring compliance with contractual agreements, tracking internal setups according to customer agreements and tracking performance to drive operational excellence
You will also play a key role in managing customer interactions by addressing billing-related inquiries, and ensuring a smooth communication flow between the customer and our internal teams (e.g. local Finance Mastercard Controlling)
The role includes daily contact with key functions of the European Controlling team giving you the opportunity to develop a strong network within Mastercard. The close relationship with GBSC and account managers will broaden your knowledge of the Mastercard business and expose you to the business challenges at the core of our business

Role
First Point of Contact
Act as a liaison between the GBSC of Mastercard, Finance (local and central) and Account Managers part of the Northern Europe Division
Address Account Managers’ queries by coordinating with GBSC and vice versa
Build and maintain relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
Investigate and resolve billing questions from customers and Account Managers
Performance Tracker Management
Monitor and manage client rebates and incentives to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
Direct efforts to strengthen existing client performance controls and optimize business processes, metrics and reports relating to client rebates and incentives
Contribute innovative ideas to enhance and optimize performance tracking systems

All About You:
In terms of the performance and personal competencies required for the position, we would highlight the following:
Experience/proven track record in accounting controls and financial processes within a global organization or within a Big 4 Firm
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; Master’s Degree is a plus
Ability and experience to assess and design effective operational and financial controls
Strong organizational, data management, and analytical skills
Very advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including modelling and macros
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to adjust complex billing-related information to different audience groups (both technical and non-technical)
Must be able to integrate knowledge across departments and work cross-functionally
Excellent problem-solving abilities and persistence in uncovering solutions
Consistently tackles challenges with determination, resourcefulness, and a commitment to achieving results, even in the face of complexity or ambiguity
Process-minded individual who also efficiently prioritizes tasks and manages time in a fast-paced environment
Fast learner and able to link diverse sources of information including the ability to handle confidential information
Market and industry knowledge a plus
