We are now looking for a Senior AI Research Scientist – Agentic AI for Science
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior AI Scientist to join the Quantum & Chemistry group. As the team member, you will be part of the development effort of an AI for science agentic system. This work involves collaboration with domain scientists and software engineers that will be carrying out research in agentic science. The agents will be used in a close collaboration with Eli Lilly and Company.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Research at the frontier of Agentic Science.
Topics of research interest include agentic efficiency and reliability, scalability, and effective tool use.
Research on approaches for the integration of Agents with real science experiments.
Developing a framework for agentic AI science that is integrated with NVIDIA tools in collaboration with software engineers.
Solve science problems with our collaborators.
Participating in code reviews, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement activities within the team
What We Need to See:
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) or a domain science such as Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science.
5+ years of hands-on experience in AI research.
Strong understanding of software design patterns, architectural principles, and standard methodologies in complex distributed systems
Knowledge of AI for science tools, including Agents.
Experience working with both Linux and Windows operating systems
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking, with the ability to deliver high-quality code and resilient services
Excellent communication skills and an ownership-driven approach
Python proficiency

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
