We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java and AI integration to join our engineering team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend services that power our enterprise applications. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure solutions are delivered.
Location: Mexico (Remote)
Qualifications we are looking for:
- Advanced Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain high-performance microservices using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring system scalability, security, and stability.
- AI/LLM Integration: Lead the hands-on integration of LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or local models) into backend architectures to enable intelligent application features.
- Intelligent Orchestration: Design and implement AI orchestration workflows and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns to connect enterprise data with generative models.
- Asynchronous Messaging Design: Architect event-driven solutions using Message Queues (MQ) to manage long-running AI inference calls without compromising system responsiveness.
- Vector Database Management: Implement and optimize vector databases for efficient embedding storage and retrieval, supporting semantic search and advanced data-driven capabilities.
- Infrastructure as Code: Collaborate on infrastructure provisioning and automation using Terraform, while maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines via GitHub and JFrog Artifactory.
- AI-Driven API Design: Develop and document scalable API endpoints specifically designed to handle AI-generated content and complex model interactions.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a technical lead and mentor, championing engineering best practices such as Clean Code, TDD, and proactive technical alignment within the team.
- Performance & Cost Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks in AI integration, focusing on optimizing LLM latency and cost-efficient token management.
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of professional software development experience.
- Java & Spring Boot (Expert).
- Experience with tools - Github, Terraform , JFrog Artifactory.
- Deep experience with MQ (Message Queue).
- Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into backend architectures.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, Prompt Engineering, or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
- Experience implementing AI orchestration, vector databases, or AI-driven API endpoints.
- Experience with LLM integration (e.g., OpenAI API, Anthropic, or local models).
Nice to have:
- Experience with Cloud services in GCP like Dataflow, Big Query, Azure Services- at a minimum EventHub.
- Python (specifically for AI/Data processing scripts)
