Job Overview

WHO WE ARE
Relativity is a leading legal data intelligence company building technology that helps users organize data, discover the truth, and act on it with confidence. Our AI-powered, cloud platform, RelativityOne, transforms massive volumes of complex information into actionable insights for litigation, investigations, regulatory inquiries, data breach responses, and other high-stakes legal work where accuracy and trust are crucial.
The world’s largest law firms, corporations, and government agencies rely on Relativity’s legal AI software to securely surface and manage the most relevant and impactful information in their matters. Beyond our commercial impact, we are committed to expanding access to technology and supporting pro bono legal work.
WHAT WE DO
At Relativity, engineers do more than write code - they build systems that enable users to uncover insights from complex data at scale using cloud-native architecture, AI, and modern tools.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a Senior AI-DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Platform team. This role focuses on building and operating a self-service Resource Provider platform, which serves as the single entry point for engineering teams to onboard, govern, and evolve their cloud infrastructure.
You will work hands-on while owning platform product outcomes, contributing to shared APIs, building Infrastructure-as-Code, and enabling supplier teams to deliver reusable capabilities. AI-augmented engineering workflows are a core part of this role, embedded in daily development, automation, and operational practices.

Job Description and Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design, build, and evolve reusable cloud provider patterns using Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Pulumi) adopted across supplier teams

  • Contribute to the platform’s REST API contract layer (Python / FastAPI) to ensure onboarding is reproducible, auditable, and observable

  • Build and maintain CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions, including reusable workflows, OIDC-based authentication, composite actions, and shared release patterns

  • Partner with consumer and supplier teams to run discovery sessions, document integration patterns, and unblock cross-team delivery

  • Track, measure, and communicate platform adoption metrics across teams

  • Use AI tooling in daily development workflows and contribute to internal AI-enabled engineering practices (e.g., code reviews, retrospectives, automation)

  • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation, owning production incident response and contributing to root-cause analysis and systemic improvements

  • Produce comprehensive documentation including onboarding guides, runbooks, and architectural decision records (ADRs)

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in software, DevOps, or platform engineering, including at least 2+ years working on cloud platforms, infrastructure, or developer tooling

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (Pulumi, Terraform, Bicep, or CDK)

  • Strong DevOps fundamentals, including CI/CD pipeline design, GitHub Actions (or equivalent), container/Kubernetes basics, and observability practices

  • Experience building REST APIs in Python (FastAPI or Flask), including OpenAPI documentation, authentication, and production-grade error handling

  • Knowledge of Azure fundamentals, including Landing Zone patterns, identity, and secret management

  • Security-focused engineering mindset, including least-privilege IAM, secret rotation, auditability, and dependency hygiene

  • Strong written English and experience working in async-first, distributed teams

  • Demonstrated senior-level ownership through at least two of the following:

    • Ownership of a production system end-to-end (design, delivery, and operation)

    • Leading cross-team initiatives, migrations, or root cause analysis programs

    • Mentoring engineers through code reviews, design artifacts, or onboarding materials

    • Building reusable platform patterns adopted beyond a single team

Preferred

  • Experience with Pulumi, including Automation API, provider development, or multi-stack patterns

  • Kubernetes access governance experience (RBAC, namespace governance, AKS)

  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g., FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001)

  • Experience building or contributing to internal AI developer tooling (e.g., AI workflows, prompt libraries, coding assistants)
