The Senior, AI and DataOps Product Manager within the R&D AI, Data, & Analytics (AIDA) team at Pfizer Digital is a leadership role responsible for driving the strategy, technical delivery, and execution of projects to support Pfizer's AIDA R&D objectives. This includes: establishing an integrated roadmap for foundational data products in collaboration with the others across the business and Digital teams; Developing and maintaining strong relationships with relevant stakeholders to ensure the Technical product roadmap delivers set vision and metrics are aligned with the overall business strategy.
The Senior, AI and DataOps Product Manager responsibilities include participating in planning, defining, and high-level designing of solutions to achieve the business and digital objectives. Additionally, they are expected to exploring alternative solutions when existing technology falls short of meeting business needs and developing business cases, socializing, and securing funding to ensure continuous progress.
The Senior, AI and DataOps Product Manager will continually refines and maintain a prioritized roadmap of DataOps products while leading a multi-disciplinary team to create and deliver AI and data product solutions. This requires strong decision-making, team leadership, data product management, human centered design and agile delivery expertise. This role is involved at every phase of a product lifecycle ensuring the successful realization of the vision.
The Senior, AI and DataOps Product Manager will also be responsible for managing budget, resources and vendors related to the DataOps product portfolio they are responsible for. The successful candidate for this role will have a deep technical understanding of AI and data product management discipline, agile delivery and change management, with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions in a complex organizational environment. This role will be reporting to the Senior Director AI and Data Solutions Engineering.
Strategy and Product Management

  • Create shared vision and strategy for foundational technical capabilities which enable Clinical Development Operations data aggregation and report to achieve R&D domain business strategy and goals.
  • Responsible for the overall delivery, vision and metrics for the foundational Data Product capabilities.
  • Build and maintain integrated product roadmap, prioritizing features based on value & feasibility to achieve business strategy and goals.
  • Participate in planning, defining, and high-level designing of solutions and explore solution alternatives if current technology does not suit business needs.
  • Communicate and ensure transparency to the Foundational product vision, strategy, and results to senior management and business partners.
  • Provides oversight and optimize delivery for contractors and managed services.
  • Manages foundational data product expectations & drives adoption within the organization.
  • Work with cross-functional teams of engineers and designers to deliver user-centric products.
  • Apply user-centered design principles and practices in the product development lifecycle.
  • Exercise strong decision-making mandate across cross-functional teams.
  • Drive products to achieve success metrics on an ongoing basis throughout the product lifecycle by analyzing and solving the problems of your targeted end users.
  • Collaborate with leaders and teams across the portfolio to ensure successful market launch and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
  • Oversee creation of user stories/specs and data analysis to justify product decisions and apply key learnings.
  • Create and deliver presentations and manage stakeholder expectations.


Delivery

  • Lead multi-disciplinary team responsible for AI and data foundational product delivery ensuring high quality, timely, and impactful results.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for agile / iterative delivery of data products.
  • Provide Technical and functional delivery oversight ensuring high delivery quality.
  • Manage data product expectations.
  • Drive change management and adoption of data product usage.

  • Set, articulate, and drive the team to deliver against integrated product roadmap through shared understanding of strategy and delivery plan.
  • Effective communicator and presenter.

  • Effective at adapting to shifting circumstances and business environment, creating and team environment that easily adapts to change with continued productivity and high morale.
  • Manage part of a within a shared budget and execute contracts.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of product management experience, with pharmaceutical or healthcare experience a strong plus.
  • 3+ years of leading technical delivery as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience successfully creating and executing against product visions, strategies, and roadmaps that achieve goals and outcomes.
  • Exceptional at working with and analyzing user metrics and turning them into actionable insights, including the use of A/B testing and analytics platforms.
  • A curious and highly motivated self-starter who can work effectively across cross-functional teams and can independently drive progress toward completion with proper planning and management.
  • Passion for delivering foundational, user-centric technical solutions.
  • Agile/Lean Development knowledge, training or experience.
  • A strong communicator with great written and verbal skills.
  • Up to date and knowledgeable about the latest trends, innovations and best practices in the digital space.
  • Strong understand of cloud native Data solutions such as Snowflake, Databricks, Collibra and Reltio.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Master's degree in strategy, management, or related field is a plus.
  • Certification in Agile and Scrum development practices is a plus.
  • Experience in technical product delivery, product design and data & analytics.
  • Experience in Clinical Data Operations technical delivery including compliance requirements for GXP.
