This is a senior role in TransUnion Philippines' Management Committee, that will be responsible for leading all aspects of strategy, planning, and execution support within the TransUnion Philippines business. In doing so, the incumbent will be expected to create strong partnerships and collaboration with senior stakeholders across TransUnion’s local & international leadership teams.
What You'll Bring:
- An MBA degree is required, with at least 8 years of total work experience, preferably in the Financial Services sector.
- The ideal candidate would have some experience of working at a top-tier strategy consulting firm, followed by experience in a strategy/corporate development profile, within top/renowned companies.
- Working knowledge of the credit-bureau/credit-reporting industry would be a strong plus.
- Proven experience of demonstrating strong strategic-thinking, problem-solving, and learning skills, in a fast-paced work environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, and ability to work across functions and levels of seniority (including at President/CEO/CXO level).
- Exceptional financial and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a large, dynamic team.
- Ability to multi-task, with excellent project management capabilities, and working in a highly organized fashion, with attention to detail; Comfortable working under strict deadlines, and producing high-quality deliverables.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively with various stakeholders, in addition to developing compelling proposals, reports and presentations
- Required mastery in applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Entrepreneurial and results-driven achiever
- Good understanding of Philippines’ overall market context and cultural nuances (esp. Credit Bureau, Financial Services Industry, etc.)
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is a must
Impact You'll Make:
- Develop strategic insights based on market assessments grounded in primary and secondary research. Translate these insights to inform buy/build/partner market-entry and market-expansion options. Build content to support a variety of Strategy and M&A process components, including:
- Managing and running key strategic/critical-thinking meetings/forums for the Regional President / Country CEOs / CXOs; Also expected to play Chief-of-Staff role to Philippines’ Country CEO, to help coordinate and run key staff meetings, management offsites, etc.
- Acquisition and strategic investment performance reporting
- Monthly CEO reports
- Board of Director meetings’ prep and content
- Corporate three-year-planning activities
- Program Management
- Other high-visibility, high-stakes activities/materials involving C-suite stakeholders
- Collaborating with international colleagues from TransUnion’s global businesses on a case-to-case basis, to (as an example) create and maintain business plans that have clear and measurable targets. Developing and delivering senior-level presentations for short-term and long-range plans.
- Design, facilitate and manage the strategic planning process in light of regional objectives. Drive the pre- and post-meeting work involved for all planning sessions.
- Drive business case development for new opportunities, and partner with Product leads, COE heads and with global knowledge experts to facilitate and enable import/export of global IP.
- Lead strategic efforts involving new market development. Facilitate development and execution of integration plans for any acquisitions.
- Partner with Finance to integrate business planning and financial planning into a seamless planning process. This would include establishing linkages between portfolio management, budgeting and planning processes. Integrate impact of strategic and tactical plans on P&L and associated budgets.
- Continually assess cross-industry best practices, new business models and techniques to enhance current International and regional planning practices. Integrate creativity into strategy formulation and execution.
- Execute ad hoc strategic analyses for the leadership team, as may be required. Gather competitive intelligence on an ongoing basis, monitor strategy, and predict competitive response for key competitors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
