POSITION OVERVIEW
Part of the Strategy and Impact team, the Continuous Improvement Team is responsible for the development of the consolidated Continuous Improvement priorities and roadmap for BDC. The team consists of subject matter experts acting as problem-solvers for the organization, prioritizing and addressing continuous improvement opportunities that will have the most impact on our client centricity and efficiency.
Reporting to the Director, Continuous Improvement, the Senior Advisor is an expert working with cross functional teams to implement large-scale improvement transformations across the entire bank. Using lean six sigma methodologies, they participate in or lead current state findings workshops.
They gather and analyze information, formulate, and test various hypotheses. They develop and communicate recommendations to enable transformation strategies to realize sustainable business value. They provide business acumen to help frame strategic narratives and articulate the value of continuous improvement through storytelling, design thinking, innovative methodologies, and best practices.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Lead and deliver on large-scale improvement transformations across the entire bank, ensuring the delivery of agile solutions. This includes:

Project Planning: Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to define CI project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Develop project plans, timelines, and resource requirements.

Project Execution: Execute and oversee CI projects. Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project milestones and objectives are met. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively address any issues / roadblocks.

Data Gathering and Analysis: Collect and analyze relevant data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Apply data visualization techniques to interpret findings and present actionable insights.

Process Assessment: Evaluate existing processes, workflows, and systems to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Conduct root cause analysis and identify potential solutions or process enhancements.

Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations as needed.

Solution Design: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and design impactful solutions. Generate innovative ideas and propose feasible recommendations aligned with project goals and BDC strategies.

Performance Measurement: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop measurement frameworks to assess the impact and success of CI projects. Track and report on project outcomes and benefits realized.

Change Management: Support the implementation of CI solutions. As needed, and in collaboration with key internal stakeholders, develop change management assets, including communication plans, training materials, stakeholder engagement plans and solution sustainment strategies.

Continuous Improvement Culture: Contribute to the development of a culture of continuous improvement of business processes (knowledge, behaviors, skills). Promote the use of lean methodologies, best practices and knowledge sharing to drive ongoing improvement efforts.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, methodologies, and outcomes.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across business lines and regions, bringing a positive influence

Ability to facilitate and lead large workshops

Corporate strategy or management consulting experience is an asset
-
Expert in design thinking, storyboarding, and project management

Expert knowledge and experience in LSS tools and methodology, and an ability to teach others (Black Belt Preferred)

Excellent relationship building, engagement, and stakeholder management

5+ years of working in medium to large-scale improvement and transformation change initiatives

Minimum requirement of bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Strategy, Marketing, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations, Research, Engineering. Master’s degree in related field or equivalent experience is an asset

Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
