Are you interested in working on various projects in collaboration with Marketing, Claims, Underwriting, Sales and our Exclusive Agent Network in an engaging environment with a focus on people development. Then you may be the one we are looking for! More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Perform through analysis and diagnosis, recommend innovative solutions for rate level, segmentation, business solutions and strategic projects

  • Develop or supervise the development of solutions for longer-term projects to solve business problems. Work closely with Commercial Lines business units and Underwriting to understand and implement solutions

  • Play an integrator or coordinator role with various working groups and represent the business unit before decision-making bodies

  • Represent the position of Desjardins with respect to external entities and partners

  • Recognized as a specialist, act as a reference source and coach for colleagues and peers

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field

  • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience

  • Successful completion of at least five CAS exams

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients

  • Advance knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance

  • Microsoft Office Suite, SAS, VBA, R, Radar, Emblem
