Job Summary:

The Senior Advancement Coordinator provides professional, high-quality support to the Advancement Team. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, resourcefulness, and the ability to effectively complete tasks assigned by multiple people. This position reports to the Chief Advancement Officer.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Schedule team meetings, prepare agendas and assemble meeting materials
  • Produce monthly and weekly reports for internal and external use
  • Support the CAO in working with the board and its committees, including scheduling meetings; preparing agenda and materials; and taking notes
  • Provide administrative support to the annual fund, communications, digital marketing, and major gifts functions within the Advancement Team
  • Assist in planning a range of virtual and in person external activities including, but not limited to, major donor cultivation events, Global Advisory Council calls and meetings, and donor and prospect trips to the field.
  • Prepare and mail correspondence
  • Maintain inventory of branded items in the TechnoServe Online Store and work with the brand team to identify new items
  • Update donor records in customer relationship management systems
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system
  • Make routine updates to website
  • Track expenses and budgets
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  •  A bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of professional experience; or 4 years of relevant experience
  •  Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills, and strong attention to detail
  •  Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders
  •  Proficiency in Google Suite

Required Languages: Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills

Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight travel and occasional weekends for events and meetings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Familiarity with customer relationship management or database systems
  •  Experience with Raiser's Edge

This is a hybrid position for candidates living within a commutable distance to our Arlington, VA Headquarters. The current hybrid schedule is two days per week in the office, and three days from home. Candidates must have US work authorization at the time of application. TechnoServe will not provide sponsorship for this position.
