Position Overview
The Senior Administrative Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting multiple clinic physicians by managing clerical functions, basic clinical tasks, scheduling, credentialing, and other operational duties. This position also includes opportunities for leadership and mentoring within the administrative department. Operating under the guidance of the Administrative Assistant Supervisor, the Senior Administrative Specialist ensures alignment with the center’s mission and upholds the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency. No nights, weekends, or holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up telehealth and remote appointments for patients
- Assist with patient forms, tumor board submissions, and printing of patient notes
- Manage daily scheduling for assigned physicians
- Schedule meetings, create travel itineraries, and coordinate trip logistics
- Facilitate physician credentialing and re-credentialing with Credentialing Coordinator
- Track continuing medical education (CME) credits and physician PTO
- Maintain and update physician CVs
- Support academic and professional activities, including article submissions, PowerPoint presentations, and business documentation
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of experience, or a combination of both equaling 8+ years
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred knowledge of: Onco EMR, Concur Expense Management, MModal, DoxyMe, Evicore, and virtual meeting platforms
