About the role

Provide high level administrative and operational support to ensure the effective delivery of Majarlins teaching, learning, and research activities. Based in Kununurra, you will partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive efficient operations, strong communication, and high quality service.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high level, effective administration services to support the strategic and operational direction of the Centre.
  • Administrative tasks such as coordinating meetings, including preparation of associated documentation and various correspondence, presentations and reports.
  • Provide financial support by maintaining financial records systems, processing payments, purchase orders and invoicing ensuring that budget expenditure is monitored and reported.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day operation of student accommodation and local campus services in Kununurra, including accommodation bookings, maintenance, procurement and facilities coordination.
  • Act as the local point of contact for accommodation and campus service matters, providing timely advice and coordinating communications with students, staff, contractors and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work accurately with detailed information; including data entry, maintaining spreadsheets, managing correspondence, collating data for report and under direction prepare a range of written communication.
Qualifications, skills & experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Management or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and substantial relevant experience commensurate with the requirements of the position.
  • Significant administrative experience in a complex organisational environment.
  • Experience within a university or tertiary environment is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under general direction including capability to provide supervisory support within a team
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn computer software programs
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to build relationships, engage and foster collaboration
  • Ability to collaborate across multifunctional teams, providing a high level and responsive service
  • Sensitivity to and recognition of dealing with confidential information
  • Knowledge of the East Kimberley region and relevant health services is desirable.
  • Current, valid Western Australian driver's licence (Class C or higher) and reliable transport.
