Job Summary
Within the Actuarial Department, you will report to the Life Actuary and provide actuarial support and services to the Group’s internal and external clients.
Main duties include
- Perform data reconciliation for Swan Life Ltd life insurance and pension portfolios.
- Develop, maintain and update pricing tools for the Group’s life insurance products.
- Monitor product profitability and identify products requiring changes to their pricing strategy.
- Conduct statistical and actuarial analyses to assess risks and validate assumptions used for the annual valuation.
- Contribute to the bonus declaration process for With-Profits (WP) policies.
- Respond to policyholders’ technical queries and provide actuarial support to the other departments.
Essential qualifications, experience and expertise
- Degree in Actuarial Science, Finance or a related field.
- At least 2 years of working experience in an actuarial role.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel/VBA and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Python or R would be considered a strong advantage.
- Analytical mindset with a strong interest in numbers and problem solving.
- Results-oriented, rigorous and proactive.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
