WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Act in accounting operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and compliance with applicable accounting standards (BR GAAP / IFRS).
- Lead and ensure the execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closings, meeting deadlines and ensuring the quality and consistency of reported information.
- Prepare and review Financial Statements, ensuring accuracy and technical compliance.
- Perform analysis of the Financial Statements, identifying significant variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Map, document, and promote continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes.
- Prepare and review the Digital Accounting Bookkeeping (ECD).
- Serve as the main point of contact for external audits, inspections, and inquiries from government authorities.
- Provide technical support to other members of the accounting team, the tax team, the Tax BPO, and other company areas with accounting interfaces.
- Work closely with the Tax, Billing, Treasury, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable teams, ensuring proper accounting and reconciliation of balances in the Financial Statements.
- Collaborate with the Global Tax team to ensure proper tax control, accounting, and reporting.
- Implement, monitor, and enhance internal controls, ensuring the integrity and reliability of accounting information.
- Support the maintenance and configuration of the ERP system (Dynamics 365), especially on accounting-related matters.
- Evaluate the performance of services provided by the Tax BPO, proposing improvements and monitoring their tasks.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and ensure their proper implementation.
- Actively participate in strategic projects within the area, such as risk assessments, process reviews, and efficiency initiatives.
- Support the implementation of the Tax Reform and its accounting and operational impacts.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the accounting area.
- Postgraduate degree or specialization in Controllership, Accounting, or related fields is considered a plus.
- Solid experience with Financial Statements, accounting close, audit support, ECD, and account reconciliations.
- Experience with ERP systems; Dynamics 365 (Microsoft) is a plus.
- Strong analytical profile, with a holistic view of the finance area and the ability to critically assess processes and journal entries.
- Proactive, well-organized, resilient, with strong priority management skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Advanced English, with the ability to interact with global teams.
