We’re looking for a Senior Accountant (BAS) to join our Auckland team and play a key role in delivering exceptional client outcomes while growing your own career.

What you’ll be doing:

This role goes beyond compliance - you’ll work closely with clients as a trusted advisor and contribute to meaningful business decisions. Play a crucial role in providing exceptional accounting services to our clients. Apply your expertise in preparing complex budgets/forecasts, monthly financial reporting/dashboards, year-end financial statements (including some large consolidations), and providing valuable insights to help our clients optimise their financial performance.

This role is perfect for an experienced and ambitious accountant who is highly organised, structured in approach, enjoys working in a collaborative environment and thrives in an agile and fast-paced setting.

  • Assist in delivering vCFO services including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
  • Prepare complex financial statements, including large consolidations and compilations
  • Prepare monthly reports, forecasts, and tax related documentation
  • Participate in advisory projects, providing insights and support aligned with client needs
  • Build strong client relationships, becoming a key point of contact over time
  • Contribute to advisory and commercial projects
  • Mentor junior team members and help foster a positive team culture

About you:

You’re commercially minded, detail-oriented, and ready to step up.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a CA environment
  • Strong Excel skills (modelling, analysis and reporting)
  • Proficient in Xero (experience with MYOB and other systems a bonus)
  • Progressing toward or holding a CA or CPA qualification
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving ability
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or similar)
  • Working rights in New Zealand

Skills Required
