Job Title: Senior Accountant
Responsabilities:
- Accrual Management: Lead the month-end AP accrual process by analyzing open purchase orders and unbilled liabilities to ensure expenses are recognized in the correct accounting period.
- Vendor Relations & Compliance: Maintain strong partnerships with key vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve complex billing discrepancies and ensure adherence to internal payment policies.
- Treasury & Cash Flow Partnership: Collaborate with the Treasury team to provide accurate aging reports.
- Tax & Regulatory Reporting: Oversee the integrity of vendor data for regulatory compliance, including the management of W-9 collection and the accurate filing of annual 1099 reporting.
- Disbursement Controls: Maintain and audit the segregation of duties within the payment workflow to safeguard company assets and prevent unauthorized disbursements.
- Operational Excellence: Manages both routine and complex month-end close activities. This includes preparing balance sheet reconciliations and performing detailed variance analysis to understand the "why" behind the numbers.
- Strategic Collaboration: Acts as a cross-functional liaison, partnering with departments like Strategic Finance, Treasury, and Operations. The goal is to provide financial clarity and support broader company objectives.
- Audit & Compliance: Serves as a primary point of contact for external auditors. They are deeply involved in the development and maintenance of internal controls and company accounting policies.
- Process Innovation: This role is expected to design and implement scalable processes. They drive continuous improvement to support the company’s expansion and operational efficiency.
- Technical Research: Handles financial research and analyzes complex internal or external accounting issues, ensuring the company remains compliant and technically sound in its reporting.
