Position Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for planning, managing, and directing the Mexico accounting and close process while coordinating closely with the Corporate Controller and corporate accounting team to ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX and Mexico statutory/tax accounting rules and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Lead an effective and comprehensive process for all accounting functions, reconciliations and month end close.
- Will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting support. Responsible for the monthly closing process, account reconciliations and department KPIs.
- Work closely with the Corporate Controller. Will work on highly complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires working with other departments and coming up with innovative solutions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with all tax liabilities and local entity regulations.
- Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
- Serve as legal representative for company in Mexico.
- Handle day-to-day SAT interactions
- Planning, organizing, and coordinating the year-end close process with internal and external auditors.
- Ensuring successful completion of the company’s tax filings
- Fully responsible for the Mexico financials and close process

Qualifications - Knowledge & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in relevant technical area in financial and administrative management
- Working knowledge of IFRS, USGAAP and MEXGAAP
- Experience and the ability to relate to staff at all levels of an organization.
- Experience with ERP software, and Microsoft office.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Education, Licenses & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field required, Graduate degree desired.
Work Conditions
- 40-hours plus per week
- Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
- Sitting for extended periods of time; Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, etc.
Skills Required
- 5+ years experience in financial and administrative management
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field
- Fluency in English and Spanish
